OVERVIEW
Acribond is a high performance acrylic foam tape that offers superior performance and ease of application over traditional joining and bonding systems.
Acribond's versatility and reliability make it possible to eliminate rivets, nuts and bolts, welds and messy liquid adhesives in a wide range of applications.
VERSATILITY
As Acribond is available in a range of sizes, from 0.5mm to 2mm thick, and colours of white, grey and transparent, it lends itself to many varied applications. Seamless and invisible joins can be achieved by using a thin clear tape (A4050), whilst thicker sizes (A5200), are able to absorb vibration and compensate for thermal expansion of bonded materials.
RELIABILITY
Acribond has been comprehensively trialled and tested.
In December 2000 the C.S.I.R.O. tested Acribond to ASTM test methods, a test devised to gauge the performance of structural silicones.
Acribond performed satisfactorily across the following three tests;
ASTM C1184 Tensile Testing
ASTM C 1135 Temperature and Water Submersion
ASTM C719 Fatigue Testing
